Square Root of 25 Reasons to ‘Start my own blog’

I have been playing on this wonderful thing known to everyone as the Internet since 1995. Always lurking more than leading, I have finally decided to start my own blog. Only time will tell if I have what it take to amass a substantial RSS feed subscription base, but for now I will just give you this list of reason to start your own blog, maybe #5 will be realized by doing #4 sponsored by Chitika and promoted via problogger.com.
| 1. Find others like myself I know there is someone out there that knows all of Weird Al’s songs by heart, feels that Good Eats is the best cooking show ever, and know the odds of a 2 team parlay. |

| 2. Stay on top of the internet buzz What was that hex key again? Don’t you know that tables are so Web 1.0? AJAX is not just a detergent.It seems to me someone that is active in the ‘community’ is able to notice newest trends |

| 3. Share my ideas Most of us want to provide some good to this world and what better way to do then provide, opinion and comments on the world around us. We also my throw in a way or two we think someone else could better their financial situation, job position, body size, etc. An unsolicited opinion that is what a post really is, until someone finds it in a search or via a link. Until then just remember that each post you create is basically unsolicited, unless you have large RSS feed subscription base. |

| 4. Enter Contest Well, doesn’t this seem like a good enough reason to start a blog. It seems like half the blogs I read have some sort of contest going on at a given time. I could start a blog just dedicated to posting, linking, and commenting just to enter contest on other blogs. That blog would be the kiosk at the mall that has pencils that hardly write scattered amongst entry tabs. |

| 5. Possibly make money Well, if you are doing something and there is a way to make money at it, why not? Adsense, Chitika, and Text Link Ads oh my! There are thousands of way to make money via blogging. I myself am going to try to do so, but as the name of this blog reads – somemakemoney.com not allmakemoney.com |
