Why is it that online is always associated with a globe? I guess that the web is global and since the web = online then the a globe makes sense. What if you were to take a more literal look at the word online? Instead of a globe, what about a still show from the Pixar Animation Studios Academy Award winning animated short ‘For the Birds’?

This site, then, is dedicated to the idea that making money online doesn’t have to be expensive. But it also requires some work. And for those of you looking for the next silver bullet, I’ll review the opportunities that would have appealed to me when I first started, and let you know which ones look good, and which ones look like scams.
Think of Jay’s site as a Cliff Notes for affiliate programs and other money making opportunities.
From reviewing post headlines and reading multiple articles, Jay seems to be an avid reader of John Chow, but I would not call him a John Chow advocate. In onlineopportunity.org post you will find enthusiasm and energy, along side some good content. Jay seems to be taking on the current #1 for make money online in Google search head on. I applaud him for his ambition, what if Mr. Dell had thought to himself, IBM has this niche locked in and dominated.
Onto the site:
Presentation – The template is crisp and pleasing to the eye. Although there are times that I get white boxes across the top of the screen where I know a menu is being hidden.[I do not know if this my Firefox or a hiccup on the site]. That being said, I have another blog that will be underway starting in July and I think I might just use Jay’s current template.
Categories – Although all of Jay’s categories are relevant, I think he has gone a little to detail with them. I would like to see the category list scaled back to 8-11 total categories, but ‘to each their own’.
Content – Good content is bred from opinions backed up by strong facts and onlineopportunity.org comes to play in this all important area. Jay’s subjects are well researched and opinions are thought through. [Yes I have subscribed to his FULL RSS feed] Which is another thing, I feel a full RSS feed is imperative in building a community. When you just publish a partial feed it is like telling your readers that you are more important than their time, and they need to come to you.
Summary – This blog was born just 3 short months ago on April 18, 2007[On a personal note – that day marked my daughter’s 4th birthday]. Currently there are 54 posts published and ready to be read. I have read over half of the post and Jay has not ‘mailed it in’ on any of them. I hope you take some time and check out Jay’s onlineopportunity.org blog. I am quite certain that he will soon have newbies and experienced bloggers alike looking like this while waiting for his next post.

Thanks for the great review! I’m working on cutting down the number of categories, I agree it’s gotten a bit out of hand.
You really got to the heart of global marketing online… That blue bird with the little birds is a great cartoon character that my grandkids see before on the their kids movies comes on VHS… He lets his wings down and they all slide off! (smile)
